UPDATE: I AM NOW OPENLY SAYING THAT WE WILL SEE A CATASTROPHIC MAIN SPILLWAY COLLAPSE AT THE OROVILLE DAM IN THE 36 TO 48 HOUR TIME FRAME FROM NOW. THIS IS FRIDAY FEBRUARY 17TH, 2017 PLUS OR MINUS ONE OR TWO DAYS: FROM 2-17-2017 TO 2-19-2017. I AM BASING THIS ON THE LARGE CRACK THAT HAS NOW APPEARED IN THE MAIN SPILLWAY ABOVE THE WATER FLOW. I AM NOW CONVINCED, ESPECIALLY WHEN THE INBOUND RAIN/SNOW STORM ARRIVES AT 10 PM TONIGHT, FEBRURARY 15TH, 2017, THAT IT WILL FAIL. FURTHER, THE AUTHORITIES ARE NOW “RAMPING DOWN” WATER FLOW ON THE MAIN SPILLWAY, WHICH THEY WOULDN’T DO UNLESS THEY FEARED IMMEDIATE/IMMINENT COLLAPSE. CALIFORNIA IS GOING DOWN. IT IS THE END OF LIFE AS WE KNOW IT IN MODERN AMERICA. THEY WILL TRY TO BLAME TRUMP. THEY WILL FAIL. THIS PELE, POLITICAL EXTINCTION LEVEL EVENT, IS OWNED BY THE LEFTISTS. FEEL FREE TO SNEER AT ME COME MONDAY IF I AM WRONG, BUT AT LEAST YOU WILL BE ALIVE TO DO SO. DEAD BODIES FLOATING IN SAN FRANCISCO BAY ARE NOT BEYOND THE PALE HERE. GOVERNOR MOONBEAM, JERRY BROWN, WILL END UP HANGING FROM THE RAFTERS LIKE MUSSOLINI DID. SON OF MAN WARN THE PEOPLE OF WHAT IS TO COME AND IF THEY LAUGH AT YOU IT IS ON THEM, BUT IF YOU DON’T TELL THEM, IT IS ON YOU. CONSIDER YOURSELF WARNED. I THOUGHT WE HAD A WEEK OR MORE BEFORE THE COLLAPSE, BUT IT HAS HAPPENED FASTER THAN I THOUGHT IT WOULD.
We may very well be looking at the type of “Black Swan” Event people have been talking about for some time here in the USA. The ongoing crisis at the Lake Oroville Dam, caused by a level of arrogance, ignorance, and governmental corruption as to beggar description, may trigger a Black Swan event that will redefine modern American life, much as Pompeii did ancient Rome. One thing for sure is the reality is unfolding rapidly now.
I have been watching the events over the last 72 hours with increasing concern. The reason for that is we are now impaling ourselves on several hard facts that will only get worse. The first fact is the dam is set for an automatic overflow at 901 feet, using the newly renamed “secondary spillway, or the one that used to be called the emergency spillway. The same emergency spillway that was never intended to be used at any time since 1968. What we have here is a backup system that was defective from the first day the dam was opened back in 1968. It is like an emergency car brake that can’t work, ever. I am talking clinically insane here, people. At any rate, catastrophic failure is GUARANTEED any time the water level reaches 901 feet because that means water will flow over the lip. The water will not flow onto a concrete surface, with all dirt, trees, shrubs and rocks removed, allowing the water to flow directly into the Feather River Valley. Oh no, I know what will happen because the original evacuation was called because in less than 38 minutes “they” had to reopen the original spillway, or else have a wall of water 30 feet high head towards Sacramento. Again, this is a known quantity. It happened when they did it the first time, and it will happen when/if they do it again. And it will happen again whenever the lake level reaches 901 feet. After “draining” the lake it is now at 875 feet, more or less. And once the new rain storm hits, which will start at 10 pm tonight, the lake will start to fill up, and sooner or later reach 901 feet and the whole farce will start all over again.
This takes care of the so-called “emergency” spillway, which was never intended to be used, and will FAIL the next time it is used, just like it FAILED the first time it was used. And that is that. Now, the other spillway, the main one, has been in full flow mode, for some time now. It will drain any water in the lake above, oh say 860 feet. It will be matched with whatever inflow heads into the lake from rain/snow etc. The figure of 100,000 cubic feet per second is used for outflow. What “they” try to keep quiet is the inflow is in the 27,000 to 37,000 cubic feet per second-rate BEFORE ANY MORE RAIN/SNOW FALLS. The inflow rate will increase after 10 pm Weds, 2-15-2017 as the next rain/snow storm hits.
What all of this means is not rocket science. You have a non-emergency emergency spillway system. You have a main spillway system that is incapable of fully draining the lake. You have a lake that will repeatedly reach the 901 foot level, and will repeatedly overflow down the dysfunctional “emergency” spillway. You also have the main power plant blocked and that also reduces outflow by some 13,000 cubic feet per second. It also means there is no power being generated at the dam. Finally, what all of the above means is the dam/spillway failure is now INEVITABLE. I have no idea of when it will fail. I have no idea of how much damage, or people killed will be. I will only tell you, given the ABSOLUTES ABOVE, a 3o foot wall of water is going to roar down the Feather River Valley towards Sacramento at some unknown point in the near future. Unless it stops snowing/raining for the next six months, which isn’t going to happen, or unless the engineers can perform a miracle, which also isn’t going to happen, the lake level will reach 901 feet, overflow the spillway and that will be that.
Once that happens, the doom of Southern California will be upon us. It is a fact that Los Angeles gets a minimum of 25 percent, to a maximum of 50 percent, of its fresh water supplies from storage, dams, pipes and pumping systems located in Central and Northern California. When Lake Oroville breaches, LA will lose both water volume and water pressure. It will obviously have some storage ability in LA, but not much. Once the storage tanks are dry, and once the water pressure falls, not only in the residential and commercial water pipes, but in the FIRE SYSTEM HYDRANTS AND PIPES, it will be all over. Once the LA Fire Department loses water pressure, it will lose the ability to pump water. It will lose the ability to fight fires citywide; likely county-wide also. Black Swan, indeed.
