I have long believed that the Internet is one half bull#%%% and one half not BS. The trick is to figure out what is BS, and what is not BS. The Internet also lends itself to deception, manipulation and fake news, as the story below highlights. Here we have a fine example of how a headline can mislead you. The following story, now making its rounds on the Internet, seems to say the former Mayor of Oklahoma City is a pro-homosexual and pro sex with kids kind of guy. If all you did was read the headline, this is what you would come away with. The reality is buried in the story and requires some thought and action.

Oklahoma City Mayor Demands Rights for Pedophiles: ‘It’s the Same as Being Gay’
December 25, 2017
Live TV comments cause outrage after saying ‘sleeping with little boys is OK’
Kirk Humphreys said pedophiles should have the same rights as gay people
A top government official and former Oklahoma City Mayor, Kirk Humphreys, has caused outrage after saying pedophiles should have the same rights as gay people because “sleeping with little boys is OK” during a live TV discussion.
Humphreys made the comments on political panel show The Flash Point when he went off topic to blast former US representative Barney Frank, an openly gay politician. When the host, Kevin Ogle and guest Rep. Emily Virgin asked what Frank had done wrong he said, “if homosexuality is OK, so is pedophilia.”
“Is homosexuality right or wrong? It’s not relative. There’s a right and wrong, you just said it. If it’s OK, then it’s OK for everybody and quite frankly it’s OK for men to sleep with little boys if it’s OK,” Humphreys said on NBC affiliate KFOR.
Visibly taken aback, Virgin replied: “I’m unclear on what Barney Frank did other than being a homosexual. Are you saying there was some inappropriate conduct on his part? Because I’m not aware of that.”Humphreys continued: “I’m saying there is a standard of right and wrong. In our society, we’ve gotten to where — I’m going to make a lot of people mad today — we’ve gotten to where there’s no right or wrong, it’s just all relative. It’s not all relative.”
RT reports: Humphreys is chairman of the board for Oklahoma Gas & Electric Company and the CEO and chairman of the Humphreys Company, a real estate development firm.
He was also the mayor of Oklahoma City from 1998 to 2003.He was appointed to the board of regents of Oklahoma University, of which he is an alumnus, in 2012.“Mr. Humphreys expressed his personal views on Flashpoint,” OU’s press secretary Matt Epting said in an email, as cited by OU Daily.
“He was not speaking on behalf of the University of Oklahoma.” When asked for clarification after the show, Humphreys said he had no additional comment at the time.”Flashpoint has been on the air for more than 20 years.
Every possible subject has been discussed over the course of those decades. What has remained consistent is the policy regarding that political affairs program… Neither the host, nor the analysts nor the guests speak for KFOR,” the station wrote in an online statement, distancing itself from the controversy.
Troy Stevenson, executive director of Freedom Oklahoma, an LGBTQ advocacy group, said in a statement: “Mayor Humphreys statements on Flashpoint this morning were completely shocking.
To compare gay men – and specifically Congressman Barney Frank – to pedophiles and sexual predators is a step way too far.” The Dean of Oklahoma University denounced Humphreys remarks saying, “Regent Humphreys’ comments are not only disrespectful, they are entirely unacceptable.”
During his time as mayor, Humphreys had at least one high-profile battle with the LGBTQ community.”We are not talking about free speech here. We are talking about paid advertising,” Humphreys said in 2001 regarding a proposed city ordinance preventing banners being hung from city utility poles and bus benches by the gay rights advocacy group The Cimarron Alliance, reported WTVA.In 2002, the Cimarron Alliance, which would later become part of Freedom Oklahoma, won a lawsuit against the city with banners reading: “For a Fair and Just Oklahoma,” hung along the city’s main boulevards shortly after the victory.”We cannot have leaders who have small-minded, inconsiderate ideas,” Student Government President J.D. Baker said in the statement. “Instead, we must have thoughtful, deliberate and respectful leaders who understand the value that each person brings to our institution. “Right now, is the time we must ask, will the university be able to ‘Live On’ with a leader who possesses such insolent ideas?”
HERE ARE MY COMMENTS ABOUT IT.
Deceptive headlines versus true meaning of an article
I am not at all surprised by this. The gay rights movement, which really began with the Stonewall bar riots in 1969 in New York City, is nothing if not consistent. Once you accept “homosexuality” as “normal,” which happened when the various psych groups removed the abnormal label a decade or two ago, then it all follows.
Dennis, once you accept homosexuality as “normal,” then the rest just flows in an orderly, sequential manner year after year. After you accept homosexuality, you then move into having sex with children, which is now just another normal expression of homosexual sex. You do that by trying to lower the age of consent laws; again, a well funded effort lasting for decades now.
After that stage is accepted, you get into gender roles, more than two sexes etc. And finally, having paved the way for all of that over the last 47 years or so, then you set the stage for everything else, from having sex with animals, to cannibalism, sex with robots, well nothing is taboo at this point.
It is clear from the man’s statements in the actual article he is against homosexuality. It is also clear he understands all the points I just listed above. He is not saying he thinks homosexuality is moral. He is saying that IF YOU ACCEPT THAT IT IS, WHICH HE DOES NOT, THEN IT IS LOGICAL TO ALSO ACCEPT PEDOPHILA. Further, Barney Franks RAN A PROSTITUTION RING OUT OF HIS APARTMENT, OR AT LEAST HIS YOUNG LOVER DID. I can’t remember if the young gay lover of Barney Frank was under 18 or not.
So, what we got here is people didn’t take the time to actually read the article. If they had bothered to do that then they would have understood what he REALLY SAID.
Like I have said before, Dennis, the Internet is one half Bull#%%5 and one have not BS. The trick is the figure out which half is BS, and which half isn’t.
I will also remind every body the reason the board, ie the globalist Boren got involved, was the man made anti-homosexual comments and that is why they freaked out.
The former mayor does not support homosexuality. The former mayor does not support pedophila. He merely pointed out the so called “homosexual agenda” FULLY SUPPORTS PEDOPHILA AND FULLY SUPPORTS LOWERING THE AGE OF CONSENT FOR MAN LOVE. Homosexuals have a long tradition of man boy sex, going all the way back to the ancient Greeks.
It is a package deal for gays. If you are gay, then you are by definition open to the idea of having sex with little boys. I will also remind every body here that the major Hollyweird “we love this movie,” is the one about a 24 year old college student having gay sex with a 17 year old kid.
The gays used to try and hide this NAMBLA, north american man boy association, but they don’t even try to hide they want to have sex with our kids. What do you think the Boy Scout, Girl Scout thing was all about?
This particular article is a fine example of where the headline totally misleads the reader versus what the man actually said, and actually meant.
Dennis, nobody out dooms Doomer Doug.
