I just thought you would want to know, Steve the leader of the Portland BLM chapter, the one that started the election night riots that caused several hundred thousand dollars in property damage, has been convicted of sex abuse with a minor. He is also facing multiple other sex abuse charges. He is also a registered sex offender, except he never bothered to register. And finally, he is still out on bail right now.

Prominent Black Lives Matter Leader GUILTY of SEX ABUSE CRIMES with Minors

Rhodes has previously been convicted of sex abuse when he was a minor, and was on probation for such at the time of this second incident. Additionally, he was a registered sex offender. Strangely enough, however, he is not listed on the official sex offender registry.

Furthermore, Rhodes also faces another set of sex abuse charges in Multnomah County, this time involving an underage boy whom he met via Grindr.

Rhodes was instrumental in the planning of the election week protests and riots in Portland in the aftermath of Trump’s Presidential victory.

Rhodes had apparently made bail in these recent, and neither the Multnomah County nor Washington County inmate rosters show him currently in custody.

He is very likely back out on the streets.

Rhodes, alongside another prolific activist, Greg McKelvey, in court regarding still a separate matter, when they were arrested during a string protests in November, 2016.

Guilty Again! BLM Leader Pleads To More Sex Abuse Charges

Last week we reported that Micah Rhodes, one of the Black Lives Matter organizers in Portland, was found guilty of sex abuse charges in Washington county, adjacent to Portland. Rhodes has now plead guilty to another sex abuse charge in Multnomah County, this time involving an underage boy that he hooked up with via the Grindr app.

The Oregonian reports:

Portland protest leader Micah Rhodes gave up his legal fight Tuesday by pleading guilty to a second round of sexual abuse charges against him, this time for having sexual contact multiple times with a 17-year-old boy.

The victim couldn’t consent to the contact because he was a minor. Rhodes — then 20 or 21 — was more than three years older than the teenager at the time of the 2014 or 2015 encounters. He met the boy on a gay dating app.

Rhodes, now 24, was a leader of the protest group Portland’s Resistance, which rose to prominence after Donald Trump won the presidential election in November 2016 and the group helped organize day after day of marches and rallies.

But Rhodes had long been a part of Portland’s activist scene before that and a familiar face at Portland City Council meetings. Among his notable achievements was helping stage a camp-out in front of then-Mayor Charlie Hales’ home in 2016.

Rhodes pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree sexual abuse in Multnomah County Circuit Court.

It’s unclear how much time Rhodes faces in the Multnomah County case.

The Oregon Youth Authority began supervising Rhodes when he was 14, for sexual abuse and sodomy, authorities said. According to court records, Rhodes was 13 or 14 years old in 2007 when he sexually abused a boy who was 9 or 10 years old.

Washington County Deputy District Attorney Andy Pulver argued in court papers that Rhodes has a “sexual predisposition toward minor children.”

Rhodes had been required to register as a sex offender at the time he was charged in the Multnomah and Washington county cases.

According to the Oregon courts webpage, Rhodes was originally facing five charges, 4 counts of Sexual Abuse in the Second Degree and one count of Third Degree. The plea deal is for two counts of Second Degree.

Neither the Multnomah County jail or Washington County jail list him as currently in custody, so he is likely out on the streets until his sentencing. His bail is $2,000 in Multnomah county, and was raised from $1,000 to $5,000 in Washington county after showing up 2 minutes late for a court appearance.
